absolutely ruins the country we live in. I have no problem with people coming here for a better life and opportunity...I was lucky enough to be born here...but do it right. Punishment is lame...sent back home with a slap on the wrist...now they can just cross back over next month.250gallon-Wild Angels, community

The Arizona bill is almost identical to the US law on illegal immigration but only gives state authorities to enforce it since the government wont. There is really very little to this other than a lot of hype and propaganda from the left. All men are created equal but his choices determine his value and what's in his heart determines his worth.

I honestly think it is way to late!
Local School Suspends Student for Removing MEXICAN Flag
Yesterday, a listener’s son was offended that his school, Klein Collins High School, displayed the Mexican flag prominently. His mother called to complain, and the school wouldn’t return her call. The student took the sign down.
The school pitched a fit, reviewed the surveillance tapes, found the student, and suspended him for 3 days. AND he has to pay for the flag. In light of the SF story of students sent home for wearing the AMERICAN flag because it offended the Hispanic students, I thought you’d like to know about a story closer to home.
Right here in our community. Feel free to let the school know what you think. You pay their salaries.
Klein Collins High School (832) 484.5500. Assistant Principal handling the case: Mr. Shelly ****. Seriously.
Call Mr. **** and let him have it. The Superintendent is Jim Cain.
You realize, I assume, that if a student removed – or even burned – the AMERICAN flag, they wouldn’t do anything about it, I’ll bet.

From the perspective of the illegal aliens...I get it...the "American Dream"...a chance to make a better life for yourself and or your children...opportunity...but as my brother stated, do it the RIGHT way. I am disgusted with the way our "government" handles illegal aliens. A slap on wrist, "you better go home now" and on their way they go. It's too easy nowadays to become a legal citizen of this disgusting country. I think we need to pass new, harsh laws that REQUIRE you to speak FULL ENGLISH, pass an EXTENSIVE criminal background check, REQUIRE you to hold a full time job the ENTIRE duration of your stay with us, not be allowed to have more than two children per household and if you break the law (in any way shape or form), your a$$ gets sent back to right where you came from. I'm not one of those patriotic Americans that gets a hard on at the sight of the flag, in fact, i'm far from it. I cant stand this pitiful excuse for a country. "One nation under God" out of one side of its mouth and then "Every man is created equal" out of the other side. "One nation under God" means that as an American you are required to believe in the Christian God. But what if you're Jewish, or Muslim or Buddist....in the Bible it states that any man that worships another God, will be punished....."every man is created equal" my a$$. Every man that is a white, Christian is treated fairly and to he11 with everyone else.
Anyway, I am a firm believer that illegal aliens are a major problem in America and the more we let them in here, the more the so called "American Dream" withers and dies.If it ain't wild caught

That's a good point Chris. I'd be willing to bet that when the American flag was first made and it was flown for the first time in this country as a symbol of our freedom, we would have shot and killed a man for displaying a Mexican flag. Now, you can drive down streets and see signs with Spanish writing...we have cartoons that teach our kids that is perfectly normal and ok to accept the Spanish language in our country. I have forbidden my daughter to watch Dora The Explorer and it will be a cold day in He11 before she is required to take Spanish as a credit to graduate. I no longer shop at Pay-Less and JC Penney is next on my list of stores to ban. ITS NOT OK.
In the same respect though, I have absolutely no problem with the Asian culture in this country. There are parts of Houston that are COVERED with Asian people, language and culture...the difference is, they aren't trying to cram in down our throats. They dont require you to speak any form of Asian language in order to graduate, nobody asks you when you apply for a job, "Do you speak any form of the Asian language". Most of the Asian people that I know on a personal level are hard working, dedicated members of society. If it ain't wild caught

...and thats the difference. I dont think its the color or culture of an individual that sets him/her apart from society. It is how they view what is in front of them. I hate seeing people feel as though they are owed something...like when people dont speak the language and feel that we should cater to them and find a way to communicate with them. NOT our problem...I dont go to Mexico on vacation and expect the locals to speak English. I realize that "immigrant" doesnt mean Mexican or "Latino"...but since we are in Texas, thats the problem we face here the most. The true reason why the government doesnt do anything about this situation...the possible vote they may lose. Its common knowledge that Hispanic voting is a low turnout...if they can please their needs, they just might show up next time and vote for them. I feel this situation is the best evidence of America losing its backbone. If a simple population of people can just walk into our country and over time demand "rights" then why cant any country out there??? I think to put a real stop to this would show that we care about this country enough to fight for what is ours.250gallon-Wild Angels, community

"One nation under God"...simply means that this country was founded on the Christian values...a set of rules that ANY man of ANY race/culture can abide by. From a Christian standpoint...every man IS created equal...life is a long list of choices, what you choose is your business, and those choices are what you may or may not have to answer for later on. God gives man that choice, he does not force his will on you, man can choose his own path, but is warned of the penalty if choosen the wrong path. The example of the boy being punished for taking down the Mexican flag is the same as schools taking prayer out of the school day. One person felt offended so we catered to that individual and removed prayer...No backbone. "One nation under God" is what it reads...thats the way they wanted it, I think its ridiculous that we go back on those words today by doing such things.250gallon-Wild Angels, community

"yeah and maybe we should go to college and stop putting gel in our hair and start wearing BLUE JEANS!"
the country was founded on religion...it IS the basis of this country. Christian beliefs are what were, and still are the prominent beliefs of the citizens here. You happen to be part of a minority, nothing wrong about that, but to say that you are offended by the country holding on to some of its origins, is no different than someone being offened by having to speak English. Afterall, English was not the language of the original inhabitants here...it was the prominent language and was therefore rolled into what this country was to be. It was not said that you HAVE to be Christian to live here, in fact it was the opposite. I personally think that citizens were not meant to be forced into the Christian religion, but to hold up its rules regardless...things such as not killing, stealing, not to lie...things that ALL people are expected to respect. If we were to pull Christianity away from all public services we be showing once again that we are too weak to stand up for what this country was built on. I see your point, but realize that the content of your arugment is no different than any other minority would have.250gallon-Wild Angels, community
