Because of Obama's ties with known domestic terrorists he wouldn't be allowed to serve in the Secret Service...in other words he would be automatically disqualified from that job. Not necessarily pertinent...but interesting nevertheless.

Oh man....you didn't really think I said he applied to the Secret Service, did you? I didn't say he WASN'T allowed to serve in the Secret Service. I said he WOULDN'T BE allowed to serve in the Secret Service. It's a verb tense thing. Quit while you're behind.

The question is, let's say he did have that relationship with Ayres. Does the fact that the association was in the past and the fact that Ayres act of domestic terrorism was in the past give Obama, in your mind, a pass on these issues?

Here's another thought...

I think it pretty safe to say that Hollywood is a liberal haven. It's filled with activists from the left. Conservatives don't get roles. I think we can pretty much all agree on this. Now, the question is....why are these people all so left wing? They make millions of dollars and live in their own little dream world. So, they are obviously well in touch with reality.  So....the question begs...why are all of these people so well in touch with reality and the rest of America pretty much all left wing nut jobs?

Now when you've digested this question...and the inherent sarcasm....it may give some insight into the mindset of liberals.

Ok... let's agree that some of us disagree with each other... Let me state again that I wish that both democrats and republicans in the house and senate has both of your energy when it comes to fighting for our country. I must say that the following has been proven:

Bill Ayers
Jeremiah Wright
Tony Rezko
Father Flager

The Democrats have had majority in both of the Senate and House and not much has been done. It seems like they go on vacation when something serious comes up.  The words "MY MUSLIM FAITH" came out of Obama's mouth, not McCain's. McCain has even been up to not talking about the situatuin. It seems to me that the Democrats can throw everything at McCain but if the Republicans do it than it is either racism, sexism, or some kind of "ism". Up to this year, I have been a Deocratic voter but Obama has seemed to just sweep all of his trash under the rug and when the pile is so high and I see a large lump from the rug... I worry. Does McCain have clean hands? NO!!! BUT at least I can look up his record and see where he stands. Obama has seriously voted "Present" for 75% of his voting record. That does not let me know where he stands.  This is just some of the reasons why I am not voting for Obama. NOTE: Let me state now that I am not nor have I ever been prejudice. If Collin Powell was running than I would most likely vote for him.

This is just the difference in the Dems and Repubs. Dems are liberal and Reps are conservative. I am not saying that one is better than the other but I just rather follow the conservatives this time.

How can you judge someone who did something when you was 8 years old? Ayers never serve time in jail so why judge someone that never been convicted! Plus, Ayers made a statement aplogies for his group action after the September 11 attacks. People change..I think if he change why judge him on the past.

OK... First let me start off by sating that this is going to be a discussion and there will be no mud or hatred thrown from my side.

I was raised by two parents that told me "You are known by the company that you keep." If you hang out with trouble, trouble will follow. That being said, if one of your neighbors was a registered child sex abuser but it happened 15 years ago, would you let your child hang around that neighbor? If so, what would that say for you and what would your neighbors thiink. No, you were not there at the time of his crime and he did admit it but he still appologized for his action. Me, being a caring father, would not let my child near the man/woman.

Same with Obama. He should had known that by having anything to do with Ayers would sit uncomfortable with other people. If one of the terrorist had appologized and said he was sorry for September 11th, would you accept him into the community as if it never happened? And please show me "PROOF" that Bill Ayers appologized for his actions. If I am right, after September 11th, he had said he was sorry for not doing an even bigger job and in fact, he is on a magazine cover, stepping on the American flag. Like I said, show me proof!!!

I would like to say that I enjoy reading everyone's responses to this thread. I have wanted to voice my opinion at times, but chose to stay out. But what I would like to say is that cursing should not be tolerated in this or any other forum. Just because a curse word is deliberately mis-spelled so that it can be read by all, it is still a curse word. It shouldn't matter if you're a small member like me or a moderator. Cursing should not be allowed on this forum by anyone. Please, let's keep it clean and friendly. Just my two cents. :)

As far as drilling... I do think that we do need to drill! Up to this point, I think alternative fuels have been talked about for over 30 years and NOONE from either side has done a thing. One thing is fact, when you depend on 75% of your oil coming from a different country, you should worry about other countries cutting you off from their oil and that would shut America down after we used our reserves. So, yes, drilling is needed but that is not the answers. Did you notice when drilling started being talked about by the US, oil prices started declining. that is because the other countries that sold us oil started to worry that this country was starting to become self reliant again. What ever happened to the US being number 1 in all catagories? We are falling in education, government, and being respected. What happened to the time that everyone looked up to the United States? My OPINION is that we took our minds off of the ball and worried about things that mattered less. China, Russia, and others saw this oppurtunity and took it.

As far as McCain, I did say that his hands were not clean but it seems like Obama has more on his plate. That again is my opinion.

As far as Palin, I honestly like her. This country has a lot of people who need to be treated like a child and she is the woman to be the parent. She has a better resume than Obama. 80%+ of Alaska's people approve of her. Appearantly she has done 80%+ right for her state. What is Obama's approval rating? Please telll me that???

Thanks TRW. It doesn't offend me. I curse now and then myself. But I won't ever do it here because this is a family oriented forum/website.  In addition to that, it's against the rules. It bothers me even more when it is done by the people who are suppose to be policing the forum. LOL! The rules should apply to all. :)

What really scares me the most is that people are wanting to elect a man with no military experience. At this time, The United States of America is VERY vurnible due to the economy and the terriost are seeing this. Obama has no idea what he is getting himself into. That, my friend, scares the bajeebees out of me! Especially when we are already in two war fronts. It does not matter who put us there or how we got there... the point is we are there and our brave men and women are putting their lives at risk for us. Can we at least do the right thing as for as commiting the money and the time for them to get the job done right!? They need us no matter what our beliefs are. That, we owe them for!
