I was just reading the statements put out by the NOAA, you know...

Hurricane watch has been issued...blah blah blah...wind...yada yada...rain...blah blah...flooding....blah blah blah...

Then this:

THIS STATEMENT RECOMMENDS ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY PERSONS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OR MARINE AREAS:

BRAZORIA...CHAMBERS...GALVESTON...HARRIS...JACKSON ...LIBERTY...
MATAGORDA.

I'm in Fort Bend County.  They did this during Rita too.  Mentioned all the counties around us, but not us.   :?

Huh...okay everyone...come over to our house...if Ike lands, you'll be safe here!!

After what happened during Rita, I am not going unless the eye is passing over Galveston Island.

I with you on that one! I hope my husband don;t try to make us leave. I sat out Alicia I can sit this one out as well.

I was born during alicia, Ike dont scare me at all. you might say i feel a little partcial to hurricanes, having been brought into this world during one. oh well i am house sitting anyway so i cant evac. even if i wanted to.

Looks like the Eye is going to hit Freeport now, Saturday Morning.

The entire dirty side is hitting Galvestion Bay.

Luckily its only CAT 3 predicted, otherwise its the BIG ONE
