I'm watching this show on the Discovery Channel I think it's called "When Animals Strike"...
I'd just like to know yalls opinion about this guys advice on how to deter a shark...
I believe his exact advice was to "punch the shark in the nose, if you have a chance...it's best to BITE the shark in the nose. Sharks have a sensative gel membrane in their noses that are very sensitive to the touch...bleh bleh bleh."
I guess that I understand the swift punch to the sharks snout, I guess it's feasible.
But BITE THE SHARK?
Seriously? Humm...I don't know how I feel about that for a few reasons. First, if the shark has me in his mouth long enough to where I have time to think..."Dang, this hurts...where is this suckers nose, I'm gunna bite the hell outta it." I'm probably in pretty big trouble already and I wont have time to aim my mouth at his membrane filled nose. Second...under the sharks gel-like sensative membrane nose....is HIS NON-GEL LIKE GIANT MOUTH.
What if I miss? And while going in for the "bite", I stick my head in his mouth. I doubt he'd be like "oh, shooot....now this isn't even fair. Hold still while I spit your head out."
Pffttttt....I don't know if I'd bite his nose. What about yall? Would you follow this guys advice? I'd like to see him bite the nose.
