The plan is to have something outside as part of the lake in the back. Since only my lot and the next door lot backs up to the lake, and its our own lake apart from the other homes, here's my thought on what I am thinking of doing..
I plan to build a gazebo that over hangs 2/3s over the lake. Under the gazebo and around the sides, I am planning to section out the part of the lake. Maybe a 18x8 section I plan to make the section higher than the lakes water line so that the lake water cannot get into the sectioned area. I will rock scape it and plant scape it. The thought is that since the walls are higher than the lake, lake water cannot get in. So I will pump in the lake water via a pump through a filter to fill the sectioned area. The reason for this is so that the incoming water is clear resulting I hopefully clear water in the sectioned area that I can see the fish in it. As the water is pumped in, it will over flow back out to the lake again and cycles continuously. Don't know what I will stock in it, but the hope is that from the gazebo I can sit and look down at the fishes below.. Of course this is just all in my head right now.. If I do it, I will have to get HOA approval and make sure that it looks good enough to be part of the community..
