Park on Seabrook side. Walking west takes u to marina but you'll see the road that leads to the channel right before entrance into marina. I've caught 50lbers out there.

I'm right down the road from here, I'll have to try this out. Many handups on the bottom?

Yup. If the current is too strong it'll drag your bait until it hangs on something. Best to get the bait out as far as possible and when reeling the bait back in do it fast to keep it off the bottom. It comes through trial and error. Each day is different.

North Jetty is a good place.. Freeport pier is good at night... wade fishing at Texas City is good, San luis pass is good on the back side where you can wade... slide your feet so you dont step on a sting ray

I fish the seasons. Different seasons require different techniques and places to fish. My favorite all time spot is surf fishing when the north winds flatten the surf and allow the green water to come in. My favorite Galveston Bay System is West Galveston Bay.

                          Great thread.

I plan on buying surf fishing equipment real soon.

I always fish the flounder run at seawolf in the fall but am looking to expand on that.

I fish right outside the door to the quarters building here. Great fishing, but it can be tricky to drive the 120 miles offshore, lol. 200 foot of water and you can catch whatever you want!
