I can honestly say that I act the same way in person as I do on here. Well my behavior in person is actually worse.

Would you go get all your friends to target and insult someone until they left? OR would you just go join a group of people for a chat about something more interesting to you?

I imagine most of you wouldn't follow someone around ridiculing everything they say...if you were face to face. I imagine most of you wouldn't behave the way you do here if you were, say, at a GHAC meeting or a fish auction. If you did, the police would be called every time, and you would be forcefully removed from the property.

        Just think about it.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Hiding behind a fake name online is not an excuse to act differently than you would in person. If you acted poorly in my house you would be asked to leave and never invited to come back (under any name).

If you can put a face to a name, helps me. If people would go to some meetings (party). Meet each other like the good old days.

I myself am guilty of allowing my emotions to overcome me when I feel someone is personally attacking myself or those whom I know/respect. I think everyone taking a moment to consider this and really make an attempt to correct their own shortcomings will help the entire forum here as everyone I know here are honestly good folks.

I can admit that I have been one of the more outspoken and rude posters on here. I'm not proud of the things I've said and I decided with the last bad thread that I would no longer participate in any off topic discussions that get me upset. I felt a strong conviction to apologize to Ally for what I said but the damage was already done. If my mom were still alive, she'd slap me for some of the words I've spoken. I grew up boxing and street fighting so I grew up thinking I could beat anyone that crossed me. The last time I almost fought was when my dad and I got into a big argument. I disrespected him and its still hard for me to get over that mistake.

What I've learned from my crazy posts and just by living is that we all have a conscience. Our emotions betray our conscience at times but in the end the conscience always win. If you have an inkling of good in your heart, you always feel bad about those terrible things you've said and done. It's not a great feeling to have, so it's just best to listen more than you talk and walk away from fights. No bridges are burned and you don't lose friendships that never formed.

So I would like to publicly apologize to all of HFB community and especially those who've witnessed my disrespectful posts. Goodnight and good luck.

part of being a good person is realizing your wrong not judging what you first see you might not really know there story.
i also do agree that much of the drama here could be avoided if the mods act quicker.
just because someone doesn't fit your agenda doesn't mean you should write them off.

But we also shouldn't have to rely on mods/geeks. It's pathetic when it gets to that point. Surely they don't want to come home from work and baby sit the forums all night.

Some people just don't have the good qualities, e.g. respect, courtsey, awareness, and on and on. Theres a lot of those people who won't let you over when entering a highway, on this forum. It does seem that there is a lot more hostility now than years ago. Not sure why, maybe the average age of people now? I couldn't be in imagirlgeek's feet because I would've ban a lot of people. If you come on here to vent, put off on that fish you wanted to buy and go buy a punching bag instead. Being on this forum for a while doesn't give you an excuse not to follow forum rules.

I don't think I'm gonna jump into telling anybody how they "should" behave on this forum because there are form rules that tell us what goes and what doesn't and as long as they are followed and enforced, there's nothing more I could ask for.
I admit I'm no angel, but someone once said something about stones and glass houses...Know what I mean Sunny?
Anyway, a great rule of thumb is to treat others better than how you would want to be treated, and that will usually keep you out of trouble.

My personal opinion is that if you have beef with a person do not use the forum to discuss it. Me, I would call the person and ask them to meet me at a public place to discuss our differences. Life is too short for all this bickering that goes on. No we are not always going to agree with one another (that's life). Some of you need to learn how to respect yourself then you can respect others.

I personally think that blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. (Meaningful and deep life philosophy.) wha wha wha wha. And furthermore, (golden rule). But if that doesn't work I will shank a mofo.

                                Respectfully.
