What a punk thing to do....People like that don't deserve fish. Lol. I would probably keep the text and maybe get law enforcement involved, they don't take kindly to threats implied or otherwise. Hopefully he will do the right thing and send the item back. It's not your fault he is not smart enough to read descriptions.

I would have just went through with the claim especially since he asked to return it im assuming through email so proof he recieved it there let pp decide theyre smart enough to see a scam

Eh, even if it stayed in my favor, which it probably would have, my address is out there. Was looking up paypal faqs and they have sections in there about this exact type of fraud, but either way it's not easy to prove or worth the hassle.

And honestly, if he said from the get go that he misread the post and ask me if I'd be willing to do a return.. I probably would have without issue. Instead he basically told me he's sending it back and to refund him since I sent him the "wrong one". His paypal name being different than the contact information/address name just tossed up another red flag

Well known eBay scam, swap broken item for working etc.
Since they know sellers will capitulate instead of getting a neg feedback.
Never seen it with CL though, i thought CL was all deals "as is"?

Some people attempt to screw over PayPal and actually ask the seller to either cooperate or lose. Sad. No integrity.

thats why you dont trust anybody unless you know them real good. you cant trust anybody these days most people are just out for a quick dollar
