    I am thinking the latter.. this is why I am thinking I need some more aquascaping..  there isnt much in there.. just two pieces of holey rock...  and I am thinking I need to put some slate and maybe some lava rock in there so there are fissures and other small openings that they would hang out in.
    Need to get someone to come over one of these days and teach me the secrets :)

      Look for smaller pieces of holey rock.....I know that most people go for the large ones but I have found that most of my fish prefer them...

      I like to pile the small pieces to form crevices all over and that gives them the security to they need..........hold on, let me take some pictures for you...

        All consist of baseball size rocks but plenty of crevices if anyone wanted to seek refuge.

          I have 1 small and 1 medium piece.. I am hoping to expand this a little more.
          I might remove the slate I have in the tank for the sand dwellers (noone lives in the tank yet) and move them into the Leleupi tank tonight.
          I just need more I think.

            Where you find good holey rock ?  and at a decent price ?

              Most of them came from Mike's a while back....

              Asian LFS sell them for like $1 lb and are pretty nice....

              Places I buy from or shop for them at.....

              Mike's
              249 tropical fish which sells for $1 lb at least Kevin did when he owned it now his uncle owns it.
              Inwood fish&pet which also sells for $1lb


              Here's the shocker......AquariumWorld has really nice small pieces but they are $2 lb but the pieces are super nice and and baseball/softball size.

                oh, leave the slate out.....I think the mixing of rocks like that looks a bit tacky......piles/walls of small holey rock will look really nice.

                          Well called around and found a rock querry that sells Texas Holey Rock.  Now I just need to drive out there and look at it.
                          They sell it at $55 per yard... I told the guy I prolly only need about 1/2 a yard... I am thinking WOW that would be a lot rock.  I will report back after the purchase and let everyone know

                              I promise you I will go with you..  its just my Leleupi needs rocks now and I dont know how much longer I can wait before I want to aquascape my tank :)

                              PS make sure that we go on a weekend that its cold.. rather freeze than BURNING up.  (Understand fat people cant handle the heat)
