I got a chuckle out of mom tonight....she is so funny sometimes....she's doing better, but from time to time she will "forget" somethings...like that I'm her son, and not her husband....smiles.....I gave her the news that I was moving out of town soon, (she knew this, but had forgotten it already), and she wanted to know if "we" were getting a divorce....I told her that I would never divorce her because she was my mom and I would never let her go.....smiles...she said something cute, like..."oh...did I get that wrong" .....she can come up with some good ones now and then....She is still going to need a few weeks of therapy to heal that broken tibula, or fibula, whichever one it is....but I impressed to her, how important it was to work on getting back on her feet so we could come get her and take her home with the family. I'll be leaving soon, but I am not feeling good about leaving mom here .....

I should mention too....that my mom will not be totally alone, her "texas daughter" Loretta, will be poppin in on mom and making sure she sees a friendly face now and then....for those who don't know, Loretta is also known as Fishlady here on the box, she is a very close family freind, who is truly, more family then friend.

Just got back a short time ago from visiting with mom again...she's in good spirits and looks good....
I'll be visiting with her a couple more times and then it's off to Indiana for me....

I've still got a decent washer and dryer for sale....plus some other household goodies..hit me up if you feel like coming over to check out what I might have to leave behind....

Well I sit in this chair and write a post on the HFB for the last time while living here in Houston, by this time tomorrow, I will most likely be all loaded up and ready to hit the highway. I'll be on the road for about 20 hours or two full days I expect, and should post again sometime towards the middle of next week from Indiana.
I do feel both excitement and sorrow in leaving, but I know that once I hit the highway and watch the miles fade behind me, so too will my sadness slowly fade into the past....

The best part about being a Houstonian for the past 6 years, was meeting all the good people I did and the great times I shared on the water bass fishing with my best friend and confidant, Loretta aka...Fishlady.

Thanks to the HFB for helping me clear out some of my household items, it sure came in handly along with the "other" classified outfit ...CL...

And A Big Special Thanks to Everyone who came by and took home either some of my fishie friends, or fish related items....Thank you all....

                Good Bye Houston

I'll cya round the web YA'LL.....smiles.

Hey Treston, it would seem like all things he's forgotten very quickly......i have spoken to him and he's not really liking it all that well, but he's sort of made his bed and has to lie in it sort of thing......but just know he's still kicking around...but he's missing Houston and all the convienences.....lol....he describes the town he's in as a time warp to "Happy Days" the series with Fonzie..(ask you parents to explain)...lol.....i'll tell him you said hello though and i hope you and your family are doing well.....

i had mom cremated as she wished.....on her birthday in October i will be going to one of my favorite Lakes and rest her ashes in a beautiful place....she loved all the fishies in our tanks and would sit and watch them for hours.....so i think she will love being in a place that she will be able to watch them forever....
