    Countdown Report

    I'm winding down in time left here in Houston, and I thought I might just start a small journal of sorts here that can be deleted at any time for any reason, by anyone....smiles.

    I've got a couple of tanks to sell here pretty quick, before I start my serious packing. I have a nice 55 gallon and a very nice 135 gallon. As the days grow shorter for me, you will see these two tanks show up in the Fish Market.

    I've got a ton of aquarium related items left over from last saturdays yard sale, and plan on having another sale this Saturdayl. I have mostly misc parts of emperor filters and whisper filters, etc.... I have a couple Korelia's as well, type 2 I believe. I have a few pieces of Holey Rock laying around, your welcome to it should you find it pleasing to your taste. I have a few buckets of sand, some brand new never even been wet before. I have all kinds of little stuff.

    Anyway....if you live near by, I invite you to drop by and go thru some of the stuff, even before the yard sale if you like....and I'll be happy to have you pick thru my "junk" .....There is some good stuff too of course, and I'd love to make a few bucks on it rather than toss it in the cans for pick up before I leave....

    I'm moving for a undetermined amount of time to Indiana, and I will be leaving sometime in June.

    I still have some fish to rehome, those two tanks to sell and would love to chit chat with fellow boxers before I go....so send me a pm, if you don't know where I live and I'll be happy to give you the addy.....

    Got the front yard mowed today, went to CVS for moms' prescriptions, went to the music store to drop off for a quick repair, one of my used guitars to hopefully sell in this saturdays yard sale....Fixed mom and me some turkey sandwhichs' and sliced up some fresh tomatoes for us....time for a nap then back to work on cleaning up the upstairs.

      why are you moving. I hate moving its such a PITA. Hope everything goes well for you up there, is it permanent?

            I'm not sure what the future may bring for us....I hope its not as bad as I think it could be.....anyway, I'll keep praying for better days. Thank you for your kind words Traci...I will pray for you and the big galute we know as the guygeek....smiles.

            Today, I made some progress in my den. I got the walls stripped of all my plaques and pictures/posters. I found some more things to set out in the yard sale tomorrow. I stayed indoors for the most part since it was pretty hot and humid outside. Fishlady will be here tomorrow to take some of her property back to her new home, but before she goes, she's going to take my mom up to the nail salon to get a pedicure and have some gurl time with mom before I send her off to Michigan to live with her sister near detroit.

            My yard sale will be ongoing from about 9ish to about 5ish.....come by if you have a reason to be out this way....I know with the gas prices as they are......most of you fellow boxers will most likely be conserving.....

            I have a 55 gallon tank for the yard sale tomorow....it's an older and bit cloudy acrylic tank, but it holds water and will come with a stand for $65.00. I'll also have a 20 gallon tank from Petco for 15.00 too....and more misc decorations and parts....got some black sand and python tubing as well....

              I have a full size bed frame for 15.00 .....and that tall kitchen cabinet......50.00 for HFB members.....there will be a sign on it for 75.00 tomorrow...so you got to speak up......I got a few nice flower pots left too....and some other odds and ends....maybe a guitar or two....

                  Slow day as far as customers went.....had 5 people stop by.....but sold about 20 flower pots and made about 40 dollars....did not sell much else....still got lots of fish tank stuff....maybe I'll take some pictures later and post them in the fish market....later.

                      Well.....I am down to just one tank now......amazing ....at one time I had 17, well...I should say, we (fishlady and I) had 17 tanks running in this house. Those were good days, we had so much fun running from one store to another burning up both gas and money like it was nothing.....smiles. Funny how all those "old sayings" come around to hit home so hard.....like this one....."all good things' must come to an end" ......no regrets, Loretta and I have some really nice memories of beautiful fish.....German Rams, Cardinal tetras, numerous strains of peacocks, and hongi, brichardi, juli, chocolate cichlids, Oscars, Jack Dempsey, we had so many fry, beautiful kenyi families.....bumble bee cichlids, buffalo heads, gobi, tropheus, frontosa, petricola, you name it....so many beautiful fish....it's a shame they all slip into the past eventually.....listen to me, it's late, gotta go.....gnite all...

                        I got to meet a new box member today, K2 dropped by to pick up the 2 Korelia power heads I had. It was nice yacking with him and his son. I made more progress in the house today, got my den closet cleared out and a few more boxes packed and stacked....Going to have another yard sale tomorrow, swing by if your in the neighborhood....

                          I met another nice new boxer today....Andrew from the woodlands. Nice guy, thanks for coming by Andrew, good luck with all your fishies....

                          I'm starting to get a bit nervous about all that still needs to be done around here.....i've got 6 rooms to this house and only one of them is empty and ready to show.

                          I have managed to get my den cleared out pretty much and will finish it off soon....My mom flies off to live with her sister in Michigan soon, and then I'm here by myself for a couple weeks until I get the majority of the house cleaned up and secured. More to come....

                          I've still got some nice fish for sale...... a Dwarf Giraffe Cat named HOOVER....he's most likely full grown and about 9 inches....I am asking 75.00 for him. I still got the trio of nice Moba for 75.00 each.....a mated pair of L. Travasse for 80..... I have a few more smaller clown loaches, some buffalo heads ....a few petricola cats for 10 each......a nice chalinochromis brichardi for 15.00.....etc.....come on down.....smiles......laters

                            Today, I sold my moba.....was a bitter sweet transaction, nice to have that cash, but really hate to see some of my favorite fish leave in a bucket .....oh well...I'm sure they will have a good home now with other moba from what I hear....some or RON R's stock.....

                            Still have some other nice fish folks....pm me if you are in the market....

                              well.....mom's been in the hospital for 6 days now.....looks like she's going to be discharged soon....and then, hopefully we'll get her on a plane and off to her new home in Michigan. I noticed a big improvement in her color tonight, her cheeks are rosey and her disposition is fiesty yet a bit on the blurry side.....I'm selling fish and other things here and there and hope to have my house looking fairly respectable in about 10 days or so....it will be going on the market in early june.
