Officially slammed out 6 times this year.....all keeper slams not cheater slams. Im very proud of this as I only had one slam last year. Im starting to go for quality over quantity now. My 4 freezers are getting too full lol. JK, I want to become a better fisherman to where I can be SO confident that I can slam or almost slam everytime I go out or at least catch quality fish. Night time kayak winter trout should be in full effect soon and the flounder are already here. I slammed 6 out of 15 trips this last year. ALL fish were caught in freeport area as its closer to me than galveston.

What kind of boat did you buy? Have seen pictures of the bow.

I'm going to be in the boat market in a year or so.

Alot of people say the Kemah Flats right outside of the channel is a good trout place.

Trinity Bay is also good during the right time of the year.

Freeport is the best fishing around here, followed by Boliver. Then I would head south. If you get a boat, make sure it will go super skinny.

Good boat. Member of the Carolina Skiff family. I'm going to take a good look at the JVX Series. I want to be able to run shallow water and open bay.

Shallow Sport Baby Cat is a sweet boat. I also like Hewes. I don't think speed is as important as going shallow (as long as you can run 30+mph) Although I have spent a lot of time in Lake and Bays (nice boat but $$$$).
