Any fisherman out there.

The flounder run is about to start.

I'm fishing the ICW behind Bolivar tomorrow and start Flounder fishing at Seawolf Park next week.

Does anyone know of any other good flounder wading holes?

What is usually a good time for flounder fishing?

Right now.

The low fronts get them moving to the gulf for their winter migration and down around sea wolf park it's almost easy pickens. I'll hit it as many times as weather and tide conditions alllow for the next month.

I tend to get a line wet every now and again....

SLP is a good place to go....On the island, on the bay side....alot of cuts running through there that you can wade right up to....check it out on google earth and you'll see what I mean. It's also a great place for flounder gigging.

With cold here the big trout bite will take off too. Right now the shrimp are thick in the marsh and redfishing is awesome. Yes I fish. Did it for a living for many years. Does it make me a bad guy that I keep fish as pets, fish for them, and like to eat them?

I've been taking my kayak out to Highland's Bayou the past couple weekends and have caught lots of reds. The Texas City Angler's club held their monthly tournament Saturday, 11/6, and the big stringer was over 27 lbs and weighed in 7 fish; 5 trout and 2 reds, all caught in upper west bay in open water. Flounder should be showing up at Seawolf, Bolivar and San Luis. At times like this I sure wish I hadn't sold my boat.

I always did good at the intercoastal waterway when you get off the fairy on Bolivar. Go down about 5 blocks and go left. Dead end into the ICW. My kind of fishing sitting in a chair drinking a beer. I prefer the island on the other side so you would need a boat to get over their. Fist time I got into flouder fishing was at the base of the north jetties. 2 old woman taught me how that day. we caught 100's of flounder that day. Once again sitting in a easy chair drinking beer. Those were the day's!!!

We hammerd them on Trinity Bay yesterday. three of us. 30 trout 5 reds and a flounder.

Officially slammed out 6 times this year.....all keeper slams not cheater slams. Im very proud of this as I only had one slam last year. Im starting to go for quality over quantity now. My 4 freezers are getting too full lol. JK, I want to become a better fisherman to where I can be SO confident that I can slam or almost slam everytime I go out or at least catch quality fish. Night time kayak winter trout should be in full effect soon and the flounder are already here. I slammed 6 out of 15 trips this last year. ALL fish were caught in freeport area as its closer to me than galveston.
