Phone decision

I need help in deciding which phone to get. I am a T-mobile user and I am not switching so dont suggest one by another carrier. I am choosing between the G1 or the Motorola Cliq.

If you havent checked out cnet.com check it out. They give pretty good video and written reviews on most phones and other electronics.

I have the Htc Touch Pro 2....its a good phone, but its a little expensive. Having a full flip out keyboard is nice.

I got the G1. Love it. It's a bit heavy compared to the MyTouch (G2), but I like the slideout keyboard for text and email.

My only complaint about the G1 is that it lags.

Txt messaging stall/fails alot for me.

I currently have the wing which has the flip out keyboard. The main reason I left out the Touch Pro is that its based on Windows which my wing is but I like the Android apps which windows apps dont compare. Both the Cliq and G1 are Android OS.

Yeah the Cliq has 256MB of RAM and I think 1Ghz processor

Agreed that the G1 can lag sometimes. Clearing out your text messages and call log helps out some. Needs more memory. That's another plus for the MyTouch. I'm considering that phone myself. Do you know if there are any other android phones coming out in the near future? Anyone?

i have the iphone 3gs with tmobile and tzones for $6 a month and i love it!! and all the "free" software =)

Have you visited www.xda-developers.com? The winmo phones are much more capable than most people realize. Very large support base for HTC mods and cabs, plus Windows opened up their own app store recently as well as released a new version of Windows Mobile, 6.5.

I dont mess with apps that much, but I have installed a few nice cabs/mods and do a lot of web browsing and in that regard the HTC TP2 rocks.

Wait for T-Mobile and Google to come out with a new phone, they have to be due. How long has the G1 been out now?

If it were me, I would get a G1 because I LOVE the Android aka Droid OS on the phone. I have an HTC Eris from Verizon running Droid 1.5 and LOVE it.

get an htc, g1 SUCKS, all tmobile phones SUCK too pretty much, i got a samsung memoir and its alright but an HTC would be BOMB

HTC is a company and they made the G1. I'd suggest you get an Iphone or just wait for the Nexus One from Google.
