well, i work for UTMB and they have one of the largest "National Labs" built by Nasa with severe biologicals in it and they have us all on alert...we don't allow anyone into our clinics without the screener outside in full PPE gear screening them for the symptoms..if they answer yes to 3 of them they are immediately masked and taken around the back of the building and secured in a reverse air lock room for us to do rapid screening on them....it's a little more serious than you might think .....but then again...it takes mostly common sense to keep yourself safe from infection.......so just steer clear of people that are hacking, or look ill...we've all seen the effects of flu like symptoms....and do keep the sanitizer handy at all times if you go out in public so you can keep your hands cleaned while you go about your buisiness.....

The hospitals have to do this they are required by the government to be on precaution. I am not saying that we shouldnt be precautious just not freaking out and worrying

At my mom's hospital they are taking the temperatures of every visitor into the NICU. If you are 100.4 degrees or higher you can't go in. Because sick babies don't have the greatest immune systems.

People are throwing out this pandemic term until it has killed more than the roughly 200 people worldwide which is .0000029% of the total population get closer to .1% then we are talking but thats still 600K of a world population of over 6 billion.

It's panic driven by the media and everyone over-reacts. All a mask does is keep you from touching your mouth and nose. Egypt ordering 300,000 pigs to be slaughtered, until someone with common sense tells them that the virus is mutated and killing pigs will do nothing to stop the spread. I think the spread has been contained in Mexico.
The fact is that thousands of people die from flu related illness every year. Normal flu.

I'm working on the cure for raccoon flu. First we have bird flu, now swine flu, and I am staying one animal ahead and I am going to cash in when the time comes.

Oh this is crap. My wife and I just receved word that our kids school is closed until may 18th. My middle son had a soccar game today that was canceled at the last moment as well. There are 2 unconfirmed cases at their school. Its prob a cold. this it getting out of hand. many people die of the regular flu every year.

Actually you had the Mad Cow disease fears a few years back so that one is already covered. What about Cat flu then we will have to slaughter all cats. We might get fish disease.
