Whats wrong with it? Would it make it easier for Law Enforcement to fight crime?

Last I checked only law abiding citizens went through hoops to obtain a "legal" assault rifle.

Also I hardly see law abiding citizens going ape**** on law enforcement when stopped with an assault rifle.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but the brady bill did nothing to stop the assault rifles and definitely didn't stop the illegal trade of them since laws on assault rifles only effect those that know and abide by the law right?

Just wanted to make some misconceptions clear before we get into this....

Machine guns are legal
Silencer/suppressors are legal
Sawed off shotguns or in better term Short barrel shotguns/AOW are legal
Making your own silencer/suppressor is legal
Having a Short barrel rifle is legal
Having a grenade is legal
Making a grenade is legal

There is very little that is "Banned" from what the media and misinformed have led others to think. Now yes there are hoops and paperwork that need to be done but honestly as easy as it is for any of the above to be done why would anyone but a law abiding citizen want to go through the trouble?

Also we pay a $200 tax on each filed item and on things like the grenade why would we not only pay the $200 tax but the price tag just to blow it up? I'm sure no criminal is gonna go through that trouble when he could easily pick one up off the streets for about $100.

No, criminals don't follow the laws, only law abiding citizens.

I've never met a criminal who pulled out his CHL before he went on a shooting spree.
The only thing these gun laws are doing is making it more difficult for us to protect ourselves from the people who don't follow the laws.

It's just my 2 cents but I believe that we should be able to carry gun with a CHL almost anywhere.
