i think he just means that the ranges may be less packed. i know top gun allows fairly rapid fire, but they are pistol only, the outdoor range i go to does not allow it, but they didnt make you load one at a time either.

    shoot in the ground?

I would never shoot in the air....not even when I'm drunk.

Thai -- my man.. please refrain from even thinking that shooting into the air is even cool..

There are lots of ways in the Houston area to shoot the way he wants to shoot.. there is just some driving involved.

I would get the tomcat if was going to have a small gun.

not has flat as other guns in it's class but the break barrel increases safety while cleaning or what you decide to do with it....which is a big plus to me.

The only range I know of where you can bring basically anything to is the impact zone. Problem is its a private range and I have no clue if Phil is still out there or not. The online calendar stopped showing anything since April 2008 which is over a year ago. On his range you can shoot anything and everything.

I know of a range where you can shoot pretty much anything, but class III, 50bmg, 416 and 338 lapua.
Again this is a private range, but during the time frame we go (I have a friend who is a member), not a lot of people are there and we have shot rapid fire.. again rapid fire, but not full auto which is class III

Some do, but the last ranger I spoke to, carried a Sig 226 in .357sig caliber. His answer was, LOTS of firepower, high round count and it will penetrate. The only rifle I saw with him was an AR-15, but he said he has more "toys" in the trunk of the cruiser.

I've been thinking about picking up a small cal. handgun for plinking.
Anyone found a factory handgun more accurate than a Ruger 22 rimfire ?
