I've asked Ken about this, but since I don't have an answer from him yet, it's not set in stone. BUT, my idea was to maybe appoint some new mods for the forums that get more posts than others, i.e. The Fish Market. So, along with nominating mods, please feel free to post a list of suggested subforum mods. You can copy and paste the following, to make it a little easier:
The Fish Basics:
General Freshwater Fish Discussion:
The Fish Market:
African Cichlids:
South and Central American Cichlids:
Livebearers:
Bottom Dwellers and Invertebrates:
Diseases and Disasters:
Fish Breeding:
Plants and Planted Fish Tanks:
Koi, Goldfish, and Ponds:
Chemistry and Aquarium Equipment:
(DIY) Do It Yourself Projects:
The Lounge:
If we do it this way, I don't think we will need to add another mod to the Betta forum. PP seems to know a little bit about bettas...
Well, I can tell you that 2 mods for the 1200+ members we have here is NOT enough.
We don't have to have a separate mod for each subforum. People can nominate one person for a couple different ones. But, from my experience, reading every single post is getting to be more difficult. Therefore, I think it would be wiser to have a system where mods can relax more, and only have to read the posts in their appointed subforum(s). That's less work, and it gives more free browsing time to read and reply to posts that interest them.
As for policing...uhh, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. But an easy way to remedy that is to nominate people you think will be fair. The idea of more moderators is not for more policing. It's because the site is growing, which means there are more posts to read every day.
If anyone can think of even one or two people to recommend, that will be a great help. By no means are we asking for you to nominate someone for each subforum (although if you can, that would be awesome!). We'd just like a little input.
I would like to volunteer for African Cichlids or Chemistry and Equipment I'd really not like both.

A mod job is suppose to be making sure that the post are not going to far off the subject & making sure the policy is being held by everyone.
Also if one is put in charge of a certain are that is their part to take care of.
If I am wrong please correct me.

Yup! That's pretty much it. A little post moving here and there (if someone accidentally posts in the wrong section), a few other things, but that's basically it. :)
