Re: School tanks
Howdy,
We learned the hard way about giving complete even support on the bottom of all tanks. A few years ago in Mark's room we had a 30 gallon set the top of a metal stand and 20 on the bottom and he has carpet in his room. Well some how the tank shifted on the metal stand which caused a diagonal crack. I came home one day and heard water dripping from the cealing fan in the living room and Marks room was just above. Luckily my wife and the boys were on spring break, it took me two days and alot of odor eater to cover / fix the mess! My wife still does not know about the tank leaking through the second floor!
The only way we will dare use metal stands is to make sure there is a 3/4" piece of plywood to set the aquariums on first and help keep the weight even. later, ken/mark
