whats with my archer fish?

i was wondering if i should turn off the filter as i let it mix together with the other water. seems like the SG isnt going up at all.

you really should go to the puffer forum and read about brackish tanks....or google it on the net....
you shouldn't mix the salt in the water with the fish in the tank....you should mix the salt/water in a bucket or simular container and check the SG in there before you add it to the tank itself....and also don't forget to add a dechlorinator of your choice to this to treat the water before adding it to your tank......and you shouldn't bring up the SG more than .2 each week until you get it to where you want it to be....
