      • Silver dollars will eat all plants. How about a school of rummy nose tetras? When they get settled they get really bright red. A school of bleeding heart tetras are cool too. Both are fast, top swimmers, and are south American.

          • Love rummy noses. But they can quickly become food. My geos massacred a school of them.

My silver dollars don't touch bolbitis or java fern. Just gotta test em out. FG has some nice varieties right now. I used to not like them but after owning them, I see they've got awesome personalities. Peaceful but can definitely hold their own, active, fast, schooling, ravenous eaters.

Beto told me you guys used to have a huuuuge silver dollar who died. :(

                        • Getting them to spawn is the easy part. its keeping fry alive. that is the hard part.

R just get yours to spawn and you will have more then you will ever want.

                            • R you next water change. do it with cool water.that will intice them to spawn and only the dom. male and female will spawn. it doen't matter what ratio you have as long as there is a male and a female.
                              Sorry about the Highjacking Beto...
