midas, pacu, salvini, nigaraguese, and others of the sort will massacre your geos.

      good tankmates would include:
angels, discus, uaru, any of the dwarf cichlids, any acaras other than green terrors, festivum and others of the sort will be fine.

Beast! I like how GTs look. Satanoperca daemon? Satanoperca leucosticta? Dicrossus maculatus? Maybe pikes, pbass, Parachromis dovii, Parachromis loisellei? No clue on how they would do as tankmates but just throwing things out.

I haven't noticed much growth in my altifrons and they are on a powerfeeding schedule... also get 100% waterchange 3x a week.

salvini get 8" and they are guapotes, like jags and dovii.
they are substantaly stronger then geos, and their mouths are made for jaw locking where as geos fail in this catogory.
plus the needle sharp teeth and many other reasons.

is 3x wc necessary or just trying to grow them faster ?

Very nice Juan. Get some hatchetfish for surface dwelling, since the geos bottom dwell most of the time. 3x weekly water changes are far from necessary. Some neetroplus nematopus are CA, but my all time favorite fish. I would take them over a tropheus any day. Only thing is, it will punk most any fish with the exception of the ones that can eat it, especially when they start breeding. VERY aggressive when caring for fry.

Dang, my salvini are chickensh*ts- they are on the shy side and prefer to stay to themselves.....the geos are way more aggressive, I've watched them pick on.
others. Remember, geos hold their own in troph tanks!!!
                            Thanks so much,

Geos are nothing compared to Neetroplus. Trust me.
