I used to keep petrified wood and used aquarium safe silicone to make a few smaller pieces into an interesting bigger piece. Not sure who you ordered from but Jeff Rapps at tangledupincichlids.com is where we always got our fish, if we didn't bring any back from CA/SA on research trips.

Yeah I never used silicone with that, but you'll need more than that for that huge tank lol. I don't trust aquabid. Have you gotten them in yet?

I've had zero problems with aquabid, you just shouldn't buy from shady people or people with bad feedback, just like ebay. Pretty simple.

Just like any other online purchase, only buy from creditable sources and do your research.

I guess I've just had some bad experiences with them and not totally sure how to be assured that the seller is creditable.

they have a feedback system exactly like ebay... that's how you check.

Hopefully my 30 orange head tapajos get here tomorrow. Plumbing is done, just need to push the tank against the wall. Currently 2ft away.

Nice!! It'll be cool to know someone else with tapajos. Mine are getting only 80% water changes weekly or every 2 weeks, but they're nearly adult size. Can't wait to see pics of them once they're acclimated! I had seen an ad for F1 juvies on aquabid, are those the ones you ordered?

severums, festivums, chocolates, acaras, uaru are good tankmates that enjoy similar water parameters
