      i may switch to black sand eventually, it might look wierd since the back is black and so are all the pvc tubes. i gave up on aquascaping all the fish do is constantly redecorate anyways

        Nah man...blk on blk makes the colors of your fish pop! IMO....go for it! i think you'll like it. i've had a kinds of sub. and don't think i'll ever use another...unless your goin for a more natural look. When i was raising Fronts, i had white sand at first, and they were pretty drab in color. i switched to black, and man!...it was like looking at completley different fish.

            Purchasing a 500 gallon bowfront from a member on here...Should be plenty. Currently building an indoor Pond 8X3X3 to hold em till then. Had em since 2", Started in a 125, lasted for about a year. Now 13" later, they are in a 180. And it's still too small. So, now after many arguments w/ my "very understanding wife" Gettin the 500.

                Man, just found out wifes preg. w/ our 3rd kid so....No BIG TANK, No BOAT, and no $$$ for awhile. Haha. Gonna keep the 180 for now.
