    Day 24 (03.19.13)

I put on an etched background courtesy of bluestems on TPT.

Top Down View (The back right corner is growing much faster. I assume because it's slightly higher)

Not really. It's only micro ferts and I'm only misting to keep them humid and moist.

    Day 12

Day 12 of DSM. 5th day of using the Flourish mix. I've noticed a huge difference. They're brighter in color!

Sunlight DSM. The huge patch of HC that's filled in nicely is the side that's receiving the most sunlight. It started with a tiny patch about the same size as the rest.

Yeah. I put it somewhere along with the DHG. Not quite sure where.

Thanks again for the tank and HC! The HC is actually a bright green now from what it was in those plastic containers. My picture taking skills are boo boo so I can't really catch the right color. I thought there wasn't much HC as well, but I spread it out into strands to separate the UG and DHG from it. Turns out there was a lot. I took all the extra HC that didn't fit in the tank and put it into another DSM container. That container is receiving only natural sunlight. I'm gonna give this setup about a month so the root system can be well established. I don't want this stuff floating up. It'll be a PITA to replant it. I'll post an update soon.

Wabi-Kusa looks interesting. I've always had this misconception of what it was at first because I was watching the plant man yell at those workers and talk about Wabi-Kusa. Thought it was some stem plant lol. There's this thread floating around TPT talking about it being a "magic ingredient" for shrimp breeding. It seems likely since my Neos have been breeding with it, but then again, I have nothing else to compare it to other than a Yellow Neo tank that has been somewhat breeding. If you want to try it out, I still have a bunch leftover from the 5gal and 1.5gal.

Does it affect them? I thought of the idea when I was dosing my tanks and misting the 1.5. No clue if it'll do any good, but I'm sure it won't do any harm. ADA soil has been doing wonders. My Neos love it. Hopefully I get great results!
