Come and get em and your peppermint shrimp! I'm not sure when I'll be back in your area. I only ordered a pound with Sasha in the group buy, so I can't spare a whole bunch as they propagate slow. I can give you a good amount to get you started though.

It's all good. Besides if the blackworms get established and reproduce, I'll have more food for my fish. Plus I've noticed that there's still food that escapes the dish. Although not much escapes, the blackworms will get everything the shrimp don't.

Gonna try to get these blackworms established in here too. That way they'll clean up any leftover food when I feed the shrimps. I think it's a better alternative than buying an expensive pyrex or plastic petri dish kind of thing.

$12 with shipping. I bought that one because the one I bought didn't come with the CO2 since the guy had already used it. It came in about a week later. I'd rather just buy from Petco since it's only about 5 minutes away for about $10 and some change.

That's good to know. Good thing I didn't go with the fluval. Just out of curiosity, where'd you order it from? I'm hoping I can find replacements for cheaper than $10. I bought my setup from someone else for $20.

It comes with everything needed to run. It doesn't come with the 3-in-1 (diffuser, bubble counter, and check valve) but it comes with a 2-in-1 (diffuser and bubble counter). It's also the smallest setup they offer. There's an 88g and 95g disposable setup not found in Petco. The 45g cartridges are $10.

Mistahoo, what is the cost difference compared to the fluval Co2 kit?

Thanks! I can't wait to get the crs in there. I want some biofilm to build up first. I have been dosing stability to keep ammonia levels down (from the substrate). Surprisingly this stuff works greater than I had imagined. I'll be putting the crs in the tank in about 4 days.

    Day 32 (03.27.13)

Day 3 after flooding. I noticed some melting here and there, but it's very minimal. The dirty looking stuff on top of the HC is mulm that came off some bio media I dumped in there for a bit. Got the 3-in-1 diffuser. I have the CO2 accurately dosing 1bp5s now. No solenoid so I'll be running it 24/7. Should last a while since it's being dosed at a low amount.

LOL! If it'll make it explode, I wonder what a 20lb will do!
