I've had that plant before. Picked it up locally too. Probably from another HFB member, or one of the LFS. Sadly, Its gone now.

AH YES..that is the plant that I was referring to originally. This guy said he didn't know if his was sunset or not...it sure doesn't look like it.

I think I am probably going to pass on it and just keep looking for the 'Sunset' variety instead.

This is the plant I was referring to and thought you were as well. Hygrophila polysperma 'Sunset' or Sunset Hygro, same plant

Definitely not 'Ceylon', I have kept that before. 99% sure it is just plain old H. polysperma, the white veins in 'Sunset' would still be visible despite the light intensity. Not worth the money IMO. I have seen regular polysperma get almost blood red under intense natural light.

i have never had 'ceylon' but from doing a search on the web, it would appear that this variety would have more narrow and longer leaves with slightly undulating edges. most of the pics had a coppery tone to the the leaves and i am sure that depends on the light, but none of the pics that i saw were showing pink highlights. who knows though, under brighter lighting the leaves may change quite a bit. i was amazed to see how cool creeping charlie mint gets under high light, i wouldnt know it was even the same plant if i had not watched the process

Yeah...I think so, too. He said he wasn't sure. He know it was hygro polysperma, just not sure which. Could it be Ceylon?

This is from a guy on TPT also. I think he's in Austin.

Agreed, doesnt look like sunset to me. I had a bunch when I tore down my 29 gallon, and actually acquired that from a guy in Dallas on TPT.

all the sunset that i ever had would show very prominant veining on the leaves, especially when they had a pink flush. i would guess this is 'just' the regular variety but it still might be nice, sending pm

OK...so I found some Hygrophilia polysperma. I am not certain if it is the 'Sunset' variety though; it is pretty green int he pic, but there is some pink showing in the top corner. The cost is $3.00 per bunch at 3-4 plants per bunch plus shipping. I am going to order some. PM me if you would like some as well. Note that they are in the process of re-stocking after losing some to an algae outbreak. So, if the total order is large enough, it may be a while before it is available to ship.

I'll place the order next week. PM me if you want in.
