Sunset Hygro (Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig'): Illegal or not?

i dont believe it is illegal in texas specifically but is illegal federally. i have contacted azgardens a couple times now about it and they wont ship it across state lines. that being said, it shows up on aquabid occasionally but that may be a buy at your own risk thing. i still see h.pinnatifida for sale and it is also supposed to be a federal noxious weed.

It is ok to sell intrastate (within) the state of Texas but illegal to sell across state lines. Depends on which state you live in, every state has different laws pertaining to said plant so YMMV. This has been discussed on many other forums on several occasions. Bottom line is that The Great State of Texas allows said plant to be traded, purchased or given away within state lines only.

I have seen references that this plant is illegal to sell or own. However, it does not appear on the list of Invasive, Prohibited and Exotic Species. It is illegal or not? If it is, can you please provide a link to the source of info? Is there some other list that I should be checking before purchasing plants?

Oh...if it isn't illegal, does anyone know where I can get some? It is really lovely for a low tech tank.
