      Simple.....

First meeting/visit is free which we have been having them at ADG..... Go here for dates/times of meetings/etc.... http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...-houston-nash/

Basically let them know you are coming, show up, then sign up. simple as that...they have a plant swap which is free for members and most of the members will help you with anything just about and we have some really talented aquascapers amongst us.

I was gonna start a thread possibly invited those who are interested to come join the next meeting which I think might be next weekend.

          Hahhahaa.......

I was thinking the same thing earlier...

I am setting up another tank and it will be more fish orientated but will have a basic scape of plants in it and coudn't figure out what substrate to use. I thought I would like sand but IMO not too pretty with the fish I'm gonna use. Then I settled on the tiny  natural colored tiny gravel but.....it's not too pretty.........then I flipped through my ADA catalog and there was my answer!!! Bright sand!!!

I will probably either buy it from CityPets which carries all the goods or just wait till next week, John said we should be having a meeting next week.
Yeah that or they are thinking about a plant collection trip. Hope atleast something will work out.

The tips of the L. Arcuata are turning slightly green. Would this be a iron deficiency?
                    Thanks

                      Iron, Nitrogen and probably light.

I think Luis would be the best person to talk to about this since he's like the plantwhisperer....I might be carpooling with him to the NASH meeting since I also got some shellies to give him.

Kool , I wanted to get some ECA but Jeff out of it. I think that would have helped.
Light i just started doing the lights on this tank in 2 phase of 3hr and then 4 hrs to keep away the algae.

How much lighting is there again?
How long of a "break" are you using in between the phases?

Its a 25W CF with a break of 1 hour and It really helps keeping the algae away. I had a few staghorns come up on the wood and tip of the crypts but it just disappeared after i started doing the break.

This is the screw in bulb right? cut your wattage in half if so.
Did you ever start up co2 in this tank?
