Crack started from way up top where my finger is and went straight towards the bottom corner. Is it because the tank is old?

Bought one used and just when I was about to connect the fx5. Crack!!! It's started dripping in the right rear corner. I don't know what happened to be honest. So Im in in the process of draining it right Now. I don't know what to do now /:
