definatley not java moss. like i said at first, i think it's just hair algae. i stood a maglite on its head on the lid of the tank to get those shots!

it isnt growing like hair algae would i think, maybe a distintegrated marimo ball? those are actually a type of algae and will come apart once they grow too large
