  • 45g room divider! <- updated with vid

i'm so excited! i really thought i was out of space to put any more tanks. but a free tank is a free tank and where there's a will there's a way! after removing a pair of rarely used anyway french doors the tank is a perfect fit! the light comes tomorrow (guy forgot to bring it) but the tank, stand, substrate (sand) some wood and oak bark strips, aquaclear filter, air pump/stone combo, lots of saggitaria, and some kind of mossy stuff all came today. as well as 6 fat sleeper gobies and some 4in silver fish i was told is a native killie. eventually i plan to keep discus in this tank. i'll post more pics when i get the lights!

does anyone have any ideas on how to keep mossy stuff (i think it's really just algae but i like it) from getting stuck all over the prefilter? i'm trying to keep it wrapped around a branch on the far side of the tank, it looks like a tree! also probably going to need to find new homes for the fishes.

                    new 45g room divider!!!

Tie it on with cotton thread or fishing line. A small 2lb test should be fine.

i think i'll try the fishing line. i've used that before to anchor anubias to driftwood, etc. i like that as a room divider, i sit here at my computer and look thru this tank and can see my oscars! and the sleeper gobies don't seem sleepy, they are swimming around as a group, checking things out! the 3rd pic is that killie... can't find an ID anywhere... sorry still no lights yet.

I would use the cotton thread because it'll eventually break down and by then the moss should stay on the driftwood
