Just did a 70% water change to get out most of the discoloring meds and salt and grossness. Cleaned out the canister a bit, replaced the filter floss, added a carbon pad, and put the Purigen back in. The tank looks completely different. It almost looks like I put new lights on it! To demonstrate, I have a few pics of the geos enjoying the water flow when I switched the valve on the python over to fill. I also found this random snail in the tank... alive... with CopperSafe in the water. Robosnail!! Also, sorry bout the video quality but I just had to include it to show off the blue on one of the male geos.

yeah, thats why i asked. but apistos do looks nicer than those.

I dunno about that one...

I would ask for photos of the parents to be sure but even then it's hard to tell without some background of the parent's origin. As for the "not sold in LFS" thing... I've seen them offered in LFS a few times.
