Polly The bulbs are made by Giesemann. I have ultimate blue/white & midday & actinic. I am planning on changing the actinic with Aquaflora.
I have spent a lot of time & money learning the tricks to get discus to live in tap water. I have found out that before storing the water I run it into a carbon block store it for 24 hours with air rating it. This wil get the PH to what it is in the tank.
All you have to remember with discus is low bio load & stable water.
If your going to make changes to their water do it very slowly.
Its like if a person lives in a tropical paradise like Houston then your moved to Alaska with in a second your body will go into shock.. If you move slowly to Alaska from Houston your body will accept it easier.
