  • Oddball/Impulse tank

So with all the cool sp. floating around nowadays I decided to start up an oddball/impulse buy tank which will house whatever randoms I find or come across.

    Right now it is housing:
    -Celebese Halfbeak pair
    -YellowJacket Endlers
    -Corydoras pygmaeus
    -Otocinclus affinis

It might be soon housing some clown killies too cause I impulsed them just yesterday.

Looking for suggestions/leads to other cool stuff that would fit in a 20gH

Saw that charles/rob had some gobies....

    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I don't have a light over the tank yet but apparently they are the same as tiger endlers.

here's what I could manage with the LED lamp I had on my toolbox.

Yeah the one I saw pictures of was a coconut roof house so I figured this was close enough.

Now to get a hold of some of sunkenmetals red claw shrimp!

I pulled some clams from the drainage ditch and as soon as they hit the sand bed they buried themselves. Hope they don't die under there.

Would you have any first hand experience on the clams?

We collected them at the sandy drop off area where the water current is much more intense than the rest of the area so I'm thinking these aren't gonna make it far.

I had a small amount of luck a long time ago when I tried to keep them. They lasted three weeks in a 10 gallon. I had a gravel substrate at the time. Watched them bury and then protrude there syphon. Thought they were doing fine, then one morning I woke up and the tank was really cloudy, cleaned the tank and found them dead. Keep in mind though I didn't have any clue what they needed as far as a habitat goes. You will probably have better luck than I did, with a much better tank setup and the krusty krab.

But I think you maybe right that a high water flow maybe essential.
