Nicest fish other than trophs or petros?

I've got 20 rainbows, 4 different varieties and they are some super nice "showy" fish. The millennium males are a dark red wine color and can get to be 6 inches. The females are a fluorescent yellow/gold. We also have "turquoise" rainbows. They are just the color that their names imply. The males will flash a bright yellow on top of the head. We also have some australis with red fins and black stripes and the ever popular bosemani.

I've seen this in a couple species of Rainbows, and it's truly amazing! When I first saw it, I was working at a pet store, and I think I called every other employee working there to witness it!

yeah uarus are one of my top favorites aswell and I did keep them with chocolates and they did good...actually we have some nice sized chocolates at FRII right now..

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't these species the only fresh water species that their ancestor were true salt water fish and they adapted to fresh water unlike most other fish?

You know I have to agree. I've had schooling Tetra's, Brichardi's and such that have survived for years.

Get some high end seciality fish and maintenance, care and such goes through the roof and one day they all die for who knows what reason. Don't know if I can handle that.

I've have though seen some trophs on here that I know will one day wind up in my collection but life is going to have to get a heck of alot simplier 1st.

Rainbows are really nice and the karens stock is really nice. The Precox is a big ole fat healthy looking dude. Nice job.

I'm getting closer to deciding. Tater ToT and Mark's stuff is nice and I have a few other ideas.

I have a few issues in the way 1st like a possible tax donation on the horizon. We work our butts off donate to charity pay for college education and the tax man still says give me more. :furious::aua:

I like the threadfin rainbows, but not the ones you posted pics of. the colors are nice but there body shape just look weird to me
