Not about being an elitist at all. It's about understanding the group of the fishes.
trophs, simo, and petros are from the "trophini tribe." that's about the only thing they got in common. All three don't look the same, act the same, or gather food the same.
I'm guessing you never kept simos. Nothing like tropheus dude.

personally i would go with the black ghost knife, they get big, and become extremely tame.
i used to hold mine in my hands while doing a wc, he would just chill in my hands.
