I can't change my vote. I really don't think it will work as well as the pollisher.
But I would like to see how it works You could do a side by side test... One on one tank and the other on another tank and show us all that it works....

I'm sure we all know the padding will polish the tank much better. But cost-wise, the foam out-dos the padding.

As long as you pay for it I'll do all the side by side tests you want. Since that's not the case, I'll stick to my plans to save money

the most efficient thing to do would be to eat the fish, drain the water, fill the tanks full of plants, and buy red devil crabs. just sayin.

sunny when are u ordering ill be interested some for my 2 eheims. The poret 20ppi works when i bought my first 2260 it was on the top layer and it kept my water super clear. I ended up throwing it away because i read somewhere all biological media was the way to go. I have been thinking of doing this too for a while now.

the foam is great biological media if its used that way, which means that you reduce the flow through it and dont clean it. Using it in the manner that Sunny is talking about would ensure that it wouldnt be useful in that capacity.

i bet this stuff would be awesome as a substrate barrier in vivariums too. the pores would allow plant roots to grow through but likely not allow much in the way of particulates. it would also be rigid enough to supports some smaller driftwood without bowing. if a group buy gets going then i will be interested in a few more sheets.
