Also, I have to buy 6 canisters worth so I don't want to pull the trigger on a whim.
You have seen my water I am picky about how clear it is. It keeps it clean just not clear like I like it. Just order some for one to try out.

I like my water very clear as well.

I guess I'm gonna have to order for 6 canisters then

Spell check is owning me lately. Have no clue what's going on man. Sorry. Do a write up and let us know what your findings are after your first cleaning. I may be becoming dyslexic in my old age....

After reading this post. I was going to say yes. But if we are talking (what will work better?) its no.
I am all about saving money. Cuase I have none. So I save where I can and use bonded blue pad.

In that case change your answer back to YES because that's not what this is about. Not asking whether Poret foam will do a better job, just a decent enough job to justify the initial $13 + $2 S&H per canister cost. After that, I can reuse Poret foam for a year at least. That can't be said about using blue bonded pad plus two layers of white filter pad which have to be replaced every time I service my canisters.

One layer of filter wool on top of the poret would be baller

I can't change my vote. I really don't think it will work as well as the pollisher.
But I would like to see how it works You could do a side by side test... One on one tank and the other on another tank and show us all that it works....
