That's good news! Looks like he still has a long way to go, but it's great that you are not seeing it getting any worse. I hope he starts eating soon.Originally posted by elvispacman View Posti got some pictures of today right now im in the middle of the second day of using matracyn 2 not sure if its getting any better the ulcers seem to be smaller and the fin rot seems to have stopped

i have used a liquid multi vitamin for babys to help with my oscar he was begining to get hole in the head so i switched up his diet and soaked his pellets in the vitamins and worked like a charm... the fin rott have u tried melafix i know it promotes skin growth and Heals open wounds & abrasions, treats fin and tail rot, eye cloud, mouth fungus and promotes regrowth of damaged fin rays & tissue... Also primafix which An all natural antifungal fish remedy and Rapidly treats fungal infections on body and fins use the melafix and primafix together

You can call around to some fish stores to see if they carry Vitachem (freshwater). I have seen it at City Pets, but I'd call first. Here's a link to it on DrsFosterandSmith.com http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=4998
The ulcers will heal if the antibiotic kills the bacteria. You don't need anything specifically for that.

Hmm... well if he's eating the wafers, I guess keep feeding him it. I have a lot of Vitamin C pills if you want to swing by and grab some. They're 1000mg pills though... So you'd have to use a little bit of it.Originally posted by elvispacman View Posti was feeding him omega gold and frozen bloodworm pellets and the osccassional frozen shrimp but hes ignored them all

You could buy vitamins from Petsmart, or any vitamins from walgreens, cvs, etc and crush up the pills. What were you feeding him before? I'd assume he'd eat that. If he's eating algae wafers and vegetables, that's fine too. Just as long as he's eating.Originally posted by elvispacman View Postwell he seems to like to eat large foods that sink, doesnt even matter if its for him like algae wafers and vegetables, what kind of food can i give him that hed like and where could i get some vitamins
