Sorry for your loss, Bee. I think that's happened to all of us at one time or another. I hope you reconsider...

These things happen unfortunately. Don't get discouraged, your next tank will be that much better because of the troubles you're experiencing now.

Also, as others have commented, don't sell your tank. Its a super nice setup, I'm sure you'll regret selling once you're ready to setup another aquarium. Good luck!

Wow! Sorry to hear that your wet pets died. Never saw the tank in person, but from looking at your older thread those were some awesome fish you lost. I usually never have a problem with the water, but I run the thing anyways. Carbon bottle does wonders!

Sorry for your loss Aquabee . I truly understand how you feel . I lost a group of Mobas' a couple of years back due to a heater malfunction . I'm just curious though......what alarmed you that something was wrong with the City water ? I've never had a problem with my water ..... so I wanna know if there were any warning signs . Also, did you test the water ? If so, which parameter was off ?

Thanks. I'll just get rid of the tank, decor, and fish. My heart's just broken right now seeing all those bodies I was responsible for.

    the death of the geos

Welp. Did just a 60% wc today and saw the fish struggling. Added 5 times the normal amount of Prime and added Stability. Within hours, all my geophagus red head Tapajo and all my roselines and my flash pleco were dead. Broke my heart... stupid City of Houston water. Can't keep expensive, rare, and stunning fish and have this happen. Guess I really did need that carbon bottle.

Anyway, I don't deal too well with these things. Tank's up for sale, with the surviving spotted and red hook dollars, sterbai corys, L-144s, and chocolate white trim BN pleco, as long as they remain alive. Will post more info later. Dibs to those who know or have seen the tank.
