Well, after 5 days her wound is healed, but I believe she is dying. She is no longer pregnant, she didn't eat yesterday or today, she's extremely lethargic & looks very thin. I didn't think Mollies could absorb babies like Guppies can, but she definitely did not birth them. I continued the meds, as directed, and her parasite, bug, worm, whatever it was did heal up & is almost completely gone. Nevertheless, I'm afraid I'm going to lose her today. Earlier she was lying on her side on the bottom. I nudged her & since then she's just suspended mid water at a 45 degree angle, not swimming at all. Thanks for all of your help. Especially FF & Sunny for going the extra mile.180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts

She's very weak but more alert than she was 3 hours ago. I moved her out of her bucket and back into the betta cup so I can keep her on my desk and watch her. She's wagging her body side to side, breathing real hard & still not eating the flake nor the small algae wafer piece I gave her earlier. Might try to feed her some frozen brine shrimp & see if she can stomach that if she's still alive in the morning. She did poop a huge poop a few minutes ago, tho! I hope she makes it, but I am doubtful at this point. Disheartening, but I've done all I can.180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts

have you tried force feeding? its a method thats not highly regarded but i usually use it in emergency like this to save fish. i have been successful and not on a few fish. (p.s. i have use this methods on 3in+ fish like cichlids) How i force feed my fish is i usually grind up the food into tiny bits and mix it with some medication like metronidazole or just garlic juice, and have a little bit of aquarium water and mix the ingredients around a bit. then i take a small straw ( straw small enough to fit into the fish mouth) suck up the mix and feed it to the fish. most food will flow out through the gills of the fish but some bits of food will make it through. and again this method can and will cause alot of stress on the fish. but its a give and take situation where it could be a possible shot to give the fish more time to fight off the disease. What ever happens i wish you the best. Sorry that this happen to fish, good luck. :[Last edited by Fishmaker; 08-03-2012, 02:13 AM.

Unbelievably, she's still hanging on. She did nibble at some food yesterdayWe went out of town yesterday morning & on my way out the door I noticed a white spot on her tail. We made it back about an hour ago & that baby is still alive. She's definitely a fighter. Poor girl's tail now has 3 white spots. I'm assuming Ich from the stress of being sick.
The day before we left I bought her one of those pet carrier houses & moved her in. I wanted her to have more room than the betta cup but I wanted to still be able to see her & keep her on my desk close to me. It might be a half gallon? It's the one with the blue lid and a spot for an airtube. Some people keep bettas in them.
Upon coming home today & seeing her 3 white spots, I immediately moved her back into the bucket so I could raise the temp & treat for Ich. I added a heater, a thermometer & a ton of salt. She's sitting at 86 degrees, in what would probably be considered brackish water now, which is perfectly survivable for Mollies. She's been in for about an hour. Crossing my fingers & going to feed her.180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts

that is some good news to hear. Shes a tough one. If she really wants to live, then u will have a pretty good chance in saving her. The stronger her will to fight the disease, the higher her survival rate. Her immune system, hopefully, will kick back in once she start feeding some more. Good luck!!! Do keep us posted on her progress. :] You are doing a great job at tending for her.

Sunny, if she was faking I would have to spank her tiny fish hiney! Can you imagine her gluing little white spots to herself so she didn't have to go back into general population? LOL
Poor girl, she's so used to me messin with her now she just swims into my hand so I wouldn't have to chase her around to spank her, lol.180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts

This morning I lost her. She put up a good fight, survived the parasite & Ich but it was just too much for her to overcome. I was sad to see my little fishy go but at least I was there when she went, holding her in my hand in her hospital tank.180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts
