I woke up this morning and the angel is dead. The Cory cats and Congo tetras in the 29 seem okay for now though I suspect the Corys brought the worms as they were introduced last. I feed all my fish nls and supplement occasionally with frozen brine shrimp for the little guys and crickets for the big boys. Also I keep my glass lids closed to prevent evap and toddler toys from being thrown in. Thanks everyone for your time and advice. Hopefully they don't all kick the bucket.

Sorry to hear. These things unfortunately do happen. Keep your chin up, finish treating the tank, watch for a while after your final water change, and get yourself some more fish from a source you trust. Good luck!

Thanks for the condolence aquabee. Hopefully it will end with the angel. I have lost whole tanks before and it is no fun.

yes do keep and eye out for more of those worms. those guys don't go down easy, and sorry for your loss. i have loss a fish or two to those worms as well. next time before you introduce a new fish into your tank make sure to isolate it first in a separate tank and do some deworming to make sure its clean. I usually isolate my new introduce species for about 3 weeks before introducing it. i know some LFS dont do so well in deworming their fishes so we gotta do them ourselves when we get them. Same goes with live feeding, its one of the quickest way to introduce parasitic life forms into the tank. good luck bro. and let us know if any more problem persist.

Thanks Fishmaker. I always quarantine before adding fish, but in the past I haven't added any medication unless I've seen signs of illness. I guess I'll start deworming meds when I get new fish. Thanks again.

it's been a couple weeks of treating the tank for worms. So far so good; none of the other fish are showing signs of worms. Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who helped. It's probably a bit early to say the worms are gone for sure, but it's looking good.
