NovAqua is specifically made for heavy metal removal.. Insures if you have high doses of iron, copper or other heavy metals they are safely broken down to where they are not going to be a problem in your tank.Originally posted by newb View PostI moved them to another tank. The Novaqua does not take care of Ammonia, Chloramines, Nitrates, and Nitirite like Amquel Plus or Prime do.
THATS WHAT THE WATER CHANGE IS FOR. -chloramines
and if you do regular water changes, and detoxify your water
WHY R UR FISH GETTING ALL SCARED OR SOMETHING?
never happens to me , ( but I change 50% every tank ( EVERY ) week.

Two things have happened...good news first, I FINALLY had babies!!! I have counted about 7 fry in my tank so far, although I think a few of them are dying. Now the bad news...after filling the tank, I noticed that everybody except for 2-3 of them, are sitting at the bottom of the tank and not out swimming all crazy like they normally are after a water change. Why are they at the bottom, is there something I need to do.
drain the tank and refill
any slight chance of rain and the city will treat the water 24 hours in advance. So you got a double dose of chemicals then you normally would have. Not knowing this you would have added the regular amount instead of doubling your dose.

City water facilities change the amount of chlorine they use based on testing done several times a day. The amount they use can change on an hourly basis at times depending on the conditions during the purification process. normally they wouldn't use a lot, but at times they had to really up the concentration. I have noticed times here in TX where you can smell it as the water comes out of the tap. My 5 cents....Originally posted by fshfrk View Post
