Eheim Quick Disconnects

For those of you that use the Eheim 2260/62......is the below link the right disconnects . Also, how do the DIY disconnects that I see a lot of people using...compare to the actual Eheim disconnects . Lastly , is there a LFS that sells the Eheim disconnects for the 2260 ? I checked with City Pets last week and they do not sell them .

I can't find my manual right now for a part #, but that looks like the right one to me (second one down) for the return tubing. Output on the 2260/62 is the same tubing as the input on a 2217 (16/22mm).

Can't help you on the other questions, though- I have no idea.

the intake disconnects on the 2262 are little bit bigger than the outputs compare to the diy the diys are alot fatter and not as easy to disconnect compare to the eheims . the output are the same as the ones u posted

Yeah I have the DIY ones and they are a lot bulkier, but I guess they are more cost efficient.

yea i know the eheims ones are pretty pricy especially the intake ones compare to the output since u can just steal them off a 2217 :)

The eheim disconects like to leak after a year or so. But they are rebuildable. I have one that leaks so stop using them ill build you some ket me jnow how many you need

I also have one that doesnt leak. I think I have three laying around her somewhere

Are the intake and output side the same . I mean....are the sizes of the Eheim disconnects different per side on the 2260 ?

See...that's what I don't like . I don't wanna have to worry about them leaking . Are the DIY disconnects less prone to leaks ?

Yes. The input is so much bigger. Intake tubing on 2260 or 62 is 25/34mm.

the diy ones are built like a brick lol i havent had any leak on me

they are pretty fragile but idk about about them leaking after a year

Yes none of mine leak at all and just need to make sure the o ring stays put and you're golden. And thats not hard just check it when you disconnect it mine rarely fall out

Well I do ive had three or four leak on me I hate those things
