I fill while I'm draining so it's kinda like a constant water change thing, I let that run for a couple of hours a day so it changes every bit of the old water.

It takes me roughly 4.5 hrs to do WC on 4 tanks totaling 75% of 725 gallons. Draining is not a problem. I daisy chain my tanks 100g -> 135g -> 210g -> 280g. As it stands, I have to wait till the tank currently being filled up gets to be about 50% - 60% before I can start draining the next tank. I'm trying to cut that time down as much as possible given that I use the kitchen sink to fill. Pressure is good coming out but the python uses a venturi to help create suction to suck up water but that venturi and the whole assembly that attaches to the faucet is so restrictive that filling up takes a long time. With the hose adapter and 5/8" hose it should speed up the fill up process significantly.Originally posted by Fancyfish View PostI timed my last water change and it took 1 1/2 hours. for 14 tanks most 5 and 10 gals and one 75gal. hmmm that seems long to me.

I already use a 1" hose to drain. Fill up is the problem as described above.Originally posted by eklikewhoa View PostOr just get the poly tubing at HD, get the larger sizes and it will dump your tanks in minutes or if you have a smaller tank maybe seconds.

All you need is to hook your garden hose to one end and a hose to the tank. What carbon bottle are you referring to?
There is very little restriction once it gets going, I can run mine full blast and fill the tanks just as I would without it (actually not since I wouldn't fill fast without the carbon bottle to allow the Amquel to work)700g Mini-Monster tank
