I rarely drink tap water.....but, I would say no.....adding another chemical to remove chemicals does not sit well with me.....I would use bottled water or install a filter on your tap....

I used to get 3 20oz bottles of water from my refridgerater water filter every morning. i would take them to work and drink them while driving around measuring houses. I can't do that any more. This water is undrinkable, unless you put a little whiskey in it.

Ammonia has lot's of use's and now I know why MB is a vegatarian.
