“We get this letter, that looks like an ad with very small print, saying that it can kill fish, it can be harmful to people on dialysis, it can hurt kids or people with low immune systems; I don’t want to drink that stuff,”

Not good! I got to look into media that can remove this crap!

I like the part about dissolving our copper pipes. yup it's true we will all experiance pin hole leaks in our water pipes. The plumbers recomend after 2 leaks in 1 year to replace your pipes for about $5,000.00 to $10,000.00.

So what are we going to do about our carbon bottles?

What are you going to add to the sake John?

                Just more carbon?

I'm going to use the dry form of prime called safe. When we get a new one and the economy comes back a whole house carbon filter. But thats a few years away. I got Lake Houston water coming in a few weeks. Oh boy I can't wait.

"To remove chloramine, an extensive carbon filter (to remove the chlorine part of the chloramine molecule) followed by a reverse osmosis or cation filter (to remove the ammonia) is necessary."

I got some ammonia lock over the weekend. I wonder if the carbon and the ammonia lock can remove the chloramine from my water.

It has already hit me John. I been treating my water with 75 lbs of carbon and prime. I'm moving over to safe also after my 2L runs out.

the carbon filter media won't work for chloramines and or ammonia. We would need a 5-7 minute pass and it's not practical. The zeolite sand in a pool sand filter would work if sized big enough. It would be for replacement water only. recharge it with salt and back flush often. I have the leslies pool sand filter but I do not have a $100.00 for zeolite sand . Times are tough!!!

Seems like the smartest thing to do is just use prime for now.
