Should I get a large canister filter (Eheim 2260 or Fluval Fx5) or make a DIY wet/dry 9-10g bioballs?

So far I have 2x Marineland 350 (Rated for 100g) and a huge wet/dry with 1200gph overflow box and mag 18.

what you have should work fine, but more is always better.
      25g - Reef
      3.5g - Surge Tank
10g - Ichthyophthirius multifilis breeding colony

I would use the 1200gph wet/dry and get two of the Eheim 2260's that Delock is selling right now. If you spent $400 you would have one SICK filtration system on that tank...

hummm....not really on that size tank. With that he is a little over 10x trunover. That's a good starting put. I know Jason wants to really stock this tank out so he might want a little more.

I say drill the tank and put 3x2262 on it and use a massive wet/dry system.

If there still room under the stand then put another 2262 on there.

3 x 2262, i dont think you'd have room for a wet-dry under the tank. BTW that was not very flashy for #3000.

or just use the wet/dry and upgrade the 2260's to 2262's for higher turnover

yeah....and a wet/dry. the 2260/62 is only a little over one feet. I think it's like 13''. If he gets three under there he still have a little under 4 feet to work with for a wet/dry.
