It's just a new classification between the two species: 'Mzuri' being from the southern, right hand portion of the lake, where as 'Ndole' is located at the southern, left hand portion of the lake. Very subtle differences in color. Both species have a series of dots running along the dorsal fin followed by an orange/yellow line above. 'Mzuri' have orange/yellow dots on the dorsal, where as 'Ndole' have black dots with a fluorescent blue hue to them. 'Ndole' are fairly common, at least I see them more available on stock lists. However, I've only been able to track down this 'Mzuri' species twice. So I would say you have some nice, semi-rare fishes there Tim. Great pics.Last edited by J-WS6; 06-21-2009, 12:16 PM.

Yes. AKA Xenotilapia singularis "Mzuri". Jonathon told me about the recent name change.
